Some users have asked for the ability to embed data into the survey URL so that each participant link is unique. This is referred to as "Query String Data". This approach is often used by panel/sample companies that want to track which panelists complete the survey and which do not. It can also be used to embed multiple pieces of data into the URL such as the invitation version (A, B or C) to see which versions were most likely to receive a response.
Here's an example where "Data=50" is a variable called "Data" and the value is 50:

If you are using a panel/sample company or what to customize your URL, here's how:
1) Click on "Settings" for the desired survey:
2) Turn on the feature, "Capture Custom Query String Values", select the checkbox(es) and then define the variable name(s) that you will use in your Query String:
Notes: When using this feature, be sure to provide your custom querystring name and value(s) in your initial survey hyperlinks. This querystring data will be associated with your participant's dataset when they submit the first page of the survey. You may customize the querystring labels (remember to change them in your url). This function will work only on the very first survey link that is accessed by your participants; this querystring value will not be carried to future linked surveys.
