Save and Return

Save and Return allows your participants to save their progress in a survey and return at a later time to finish. This option requires that all participants register (with the information you specify) in order to participate.

You choose how participants register:

• anonymously with a nickname; or
• with an email address

With this feature you can track who has started your survey and who has finished it. Participants cannot re-start a survey they have completed with the original registration data (email or nickname).

You view and download participant registration data separately from survey data, but the two data sets can be linked by the Login ID.

Save and Return for participants:

• is uni-directional only.
  Participants cannot go backwards in a survey – they can only continue forward from the point they left off.
• is by page.
  Participants must complete their current page in a survey, and at the bottom of the page click either Save and Exit or Continue.
  • Save and Exit bookmarks their place, and instructs them how to return.
  • Continue moves to the next page.

If a survey has Save and Return activated AND participants have registered, View Report displays under the number of Responses stored for your survey.

Surveys are considered “started” when participants have registered AND have submitted the first page of questions in a survey.
